Cruising with Armando (2014)

As an artist new to the medium, I took the opportunity to create my first film about a subject I know I will have limited access to. Cruising with Armando, visits former sites that my father, born in 1929, has lived during the entirety of his life in Los Angeles. An oral history conducted while driving through LA, overlaps a visual montage of sites visited, resulting in the interplay between memory and the contemporary landscape.
